Focus and Scope

REV Journal on Electronics and Communications (REV-JEC) is a quarterly peer-reviewed research journal, dedicated to providing a leading edge forum for researchers and professionals to contribute and disseminate innovative research ideas and results in the fields of electronics and communications.

REV-JEC offers three different formats of articles: regular, short, and correspondence. While it is required for a regular article to present substantial scientific contributions in sufficient details, a short article should present a complete study with significant contributions, usually more limited in scope than what is found in a regular article, and a correspondence article may offer new ideas, new results or comments that need to be quickly communicated.

We invite submission of high-quality papers presenting original, previously unpublished, research ideas and results on both theoretical and applied aspects in all areas of electronics and communications. These areas include, but are not limited to, the following topics:

Automation and Control track

  • Automation Systems
  • Adaptive Control
  • Linear & Nonlinear Control

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts will be subject to a fair, unbiased, double-blinded peer-review process, and are considered on the basis of their significance, novelty and usefulness to the REV-JEC readership. The review output will be one of the following decisions:

  1. Accept: The submission will be accepted without revisions.
  2. Accept with minor changes: The submission will be accepted after minor changes have been made.
  3. Accept with mandatory changes: The submission needs to be re-worked, but with significant changes, may be accepted. It will require a second round of review, however.
  4. Reject: The submission will not be published with the Journal.

The review process may take approximately maximum TWO months to be completed. Should authors be requested by the Editor to revise the manuscript, the revised version should be submitted within ONE months for a major revision or TWO weeks for a minor revision. Authors who need more time are kindly requested to contact the Editor. The Editor reserves the right to reject a paper if it does not meet the aims and scope of the Journal, it is not technically sound, it is not revised satisfactorily, or if it is inadequate in presentation.

Publication Frequency

REV-JEC is a quarterly journal. Its articles are published collectively as part of an issue with its own table of contents.

An accepted article will be immediately published online for EARLY ACCESS, with a DOI number, having been edited in compliance with REV-JEC's editing rules (see Author Guidelines).

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Publication Ethics Statement

All submissions to REV-JEC are checked for plagiarism including self-plagiarism. An author's submission implies that the manuscript has not been published previously, and is not currently submitted for publication elsewhere. Submission also implies that the Corresponding Author has consent of all authors and there is not any conflict of interest in the authorship.

REV-JEC is committed to following the rules, standards, and guidelines set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in ensuring the Journal's publication integrity and in handling cases of misconduct. All involved parties (Editors, Authors, Reviewers, and Publisher) are expected to be aware of and to conform to the respective rules, standards, and guidelines, available on COPE website (http://publicationethics.org), which include:

Any reported or suspected case of misconduct will be dealt with in accordance with COPE-recommended processes, described by these flowcharts.
