Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

Author Guidelines

Manuscripts should be written in English. Whenever applicable, submissions should include the following elements: title, abstract, index terms, main text, and references; but not include authors' names and affiliations. Submitted manuscripts (in PDF) should be formatted into A4-size, single-spaced, single-column pages, using a 12-point font for main text. Regular research paper submissions should ideally not exceed 15 single-spaced pages in length, including tables and figures. This length should correspond roughly to 7 pages in print (single-spaced, two-column format). Authors are recommended to use the LaTeX template.

Submissions of revised manuscripts should follow the same guidelines as for manuscript submissions, plus that revised manuscript submissions must include a short summary about the modifications the authors have made and their response to reviewers' comments. 

Upon formal acceptance of a manuscript for publication, instructions for providing the final materials required for publication will be sent to the Corresponding Author. Final version of a paper accepted for publication should be prepared in LaTeX or WORD.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
2. The submission file is in PDF or Microsoft Word document file format.
3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
5. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the Journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
6. All co-authors of the manuscript have been added in the system.

Copyright Notice

An author's submission implies that the manuscript has not been published previously, and is not currently submitted for publication elsewhere. Submission also implies that the Corresponding Author has consent of all authors (the Authors). Upon acceptance for publication transfer of copyright will be made to the Publisher of REV-JEC, who guarantees that full content of the published article is freely distributed on the Journal's website. The copyright transfer gives the Publisher of REV-JEC full authority to resolve any complaints of misuse or abuse (such as infringement or plagiarism) of the published article. The Authors have the freedom to redistribute and reuse the published article in any medium or format for any purpose, provided the original published article is properly cited. An article submission implies author agreement with this policy.

The names and email addresses entered in this Journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this Journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.

Author Fees

This journal charges the following author fees.

Article Publication: 3000000.00 (VND)

Since REV-JEC is partly subsidized by REV and other sponsors, authors of published articles are only asked to share part of the publication expenses, including paper editing and printing costs, and the costs for maintaining and indexing online articles. We commit the review timing within TWO months (except the cases authors ask to extend the revision deadlines).

Discounts are available to members of REV, IEEE, KICS (South Korea), and ECTI (Thailand), to authors of selected papers from REV's ATC and ECIT conferences, and to frequent authors (published 3 articles or more with REV-JEC in the last 5 years).

Detailed fee schedule is given below (for authors providing LATEX sources of final manuscripts):

• Non-member fee: 150 USD / 3.000.000 VND
• Member fee and student fee: 100 USD / 2.000.000 VND
• REV's ATC and ECIT author fee:  100 USD / 2.000.000 VND
• Frequent author fee: 50 USD / 1.000.000 VND

Active reviewers can be awarded gifts for future paper publications with REV-JEC journal.

For authors providing WORD sources of final manuscripts, additional editting fees will be charged (50 USD / 1.000.000 VND) for converting to LATEX sources.
